People of lower classes

Why do people of the lower classes have less respect for common courtesies and social niceties than their middle- and upper-middle-class counterparts?

marmaduke - i think you will find that many people regardless of class i might add are ignorant rude and have no pleasantries about them personally believe that, as many others have stated, it is down to your upbringing.  so whether ur low class middle class or of no class this in my opnion does not reflect upon ur manners social niceties etc. so be awwf with you young marmaduke and kindly stawp pulling ones prosthetic leg! :-�

A simple answer to Marmaduke - they don't! Having taught in a large comprehensive school for thirty years I thnk I have seen everything. If you are talking about opening doors, calling me "Sir" etc. then there is no difference.

Don't regard yourselves as of any 'class' as it is a derogatory categorization created by snobs so they can be humble and smug!

Hmmm.  At Christmas we usually have a work's do staying the night at some nice hotel. 

On two separate occasions I have heard toffs complaining that "these kind of people shouldn't be allowed in here."  Just on what grounds they were complaining I have absolutely no idea.  We were not drunk, abusive or rowdy, we were sat enjoying ourselves, chatting and having a laugh with our friends, a group of husbands and wives.  Both times I remained dignified and ignored the urge to tell these stuck-up tw*tts that although we don't have as much as they might, our money is as good as theirs but it was blatantly obvious that these arrogant ******** simply did not want to share the same atmosphere as us working class scum. 

Clearly there are insufferable people in both groups regardless of class.  Many of the rich and priveleged simply see us as a necessary evil required for dirty jobs that need doing.
