has there ever been a band or singer called FISH.i think there has but my wife thinks i'm wrong, could anyone please settle the argument and tell me one of there hits. thanks paul.

Yes, there is a singer called Fish. He was the original singer in Marillion, before going solo.

His real name is Derek Dick, and I believe he got his nickname from the landlady in the guest house he was staying in in Fochabers, Moray, whilst working in forestry. He spent so long in the bath each night she christened him 'Fish'.

Some of Marillion's biggest hits during the Fish era are Sugar Mice, Kayleigh, Lavender and Incommunicado. His biggest solo hit was Big Wedge in 1990.

There is also a band called 'Phish'.

During the early '90s, Phish emerged as the heirs to the Grateful Dead's throne. Although their music is somewhat similar to the Dead's � it's an eclectic, free-form rock & roll encompassing folk, jazz, country, bluegrass, and pop � the group adheres more to jazz-derived improvisation than folk tradition, and they have a looser, goofier attitude.
