Open windows media player, click tools, click options, click the 'rip music' tab, then make sure your rip setting format is windows media audio.
Do this if you are copying your own cd collection. The files will automatically be saves in your 'my music' folder. Then just copy and paste them into your removable drive (which will appear when you plug in your mp3 player).
