A guy who lived in my street was a persistent drunk driver and eventually ended up knocking down a young woman and killing her, before being jailed and banned from driving for a considerable amount of time.
On the anniversary of the young woman's death, his own sister was knocked down and killed by another drunken driver. Divine retribution?
No just coincidence especially when you see many other drink drivers get a slap on the wrist and allowed to carry on with their merry lives while many familys spend their own lives shattered picking up the pieces.
Well I like to believe that all bad people will eventually be punished but I dont actually think a lot of bad people are and so many get away with crimes every day. Also I try and do a lot of good and am still waiting my reward :-)
No, definately not, what ever did his sister do that was so bad? Not her fault her brother was a total ar5e. I don't believe in karma one iota, not in the small scheme of things and not in the bigger one either.
4getmenot....I know exactly how you feel. No matter what you do for some people it is never enough. Why do folk always complain about what you don't do, and neglect to mention the things you do do?
I wholly accept that the driver's sister was an innocent woman, but so, too, was the woman he himself killed. Is is possible that he was made to know how the family of his victim feels?
I don't believe in it at all but then I don't believe in anything divine either so that's hardly suprising. I think what we have here is sad set of circumstances.
Also, if we followed that logic through and add that thingy about six degrees of seperation then doesn't that mean that we'd all end up being killed by a drunk driver eventually? Or am I completely losing the plot? (Distinct possibility).
