Stroke Prevention???
3 Answers
My mum has had two mini strokes or TIAs in the last 6 month. She is a smoker and has a few drinks at the weekend. She is also in a high pressure job and suffers stress and high blood pressure. She is 54yrs old and recommended weight.
I know the smoking has to go!!! and the stress and weekend tipples don't help but what other things could she be doing to help prevent a future stroke or more TIAs?

Really need to decrease blood pressure, so no smoking, not much drinking, more exercise, healthy eating etc. etc. However, some people are just more prone to these things than others. Now you know there is a problem, you and you Mum can deal with it. Maybe you could do some sort of exercise together, like walking a dog, or a weekend stroll?
Hope it goes well and she is on the mend
