we have the above recorder, model dvdr5500/05, it keeps losing all of its freeview channels, its connected to a phillips lcd tv that has freeview also, but that has never lost its channels. Anyone got any ideas ?

I`m having the same problem with my sony dvdr, no freeview channels at all. They were all there a few days ago.
