Looking for b.s legislation
Hi,
I can't think where else to put this, maybe business? but here goes anyway.
I am looking for the relevent legislation for the use of british standards in hotels. Spacificly the legislation that says you should or must use a spacific standard for say fire retardant curtains in guest bedrooms.
I have found the b.s 5867 for the fabric but not that it says you must use this as a minimum for the rooms.
OR am I totaly wrong and they can sling any old curtains up?
Thanks

OK Thanks.
I think they are flying throught the seat of their pants....
Not a lot is 'by the book' and they are just hopeing nothing happens ! and no one notices.
Would the fo really be looking at curtains? Would they check pillows and duvets etc.
A lot of the stuff they have is CHEAP and nasty... Not the sort of thing you would want in your own home even.
Could they get shut down or fined do you think?
Actually I'v just been told it's not a hotel as such but a hostel that the local authority use to put homeless people in. Does that make a difference?
