How do they put the chocolate onto ice creams such as Magnum without melting the ice cream?

I don't know about Magnum, but to do it at home you get the ice cream very cold (freeze it for a good long time) and then dip it fast and refreeze.
maybe it's not chocolate,
but some mix that is liquid at room temperature?
so no need for it to be very hot...
