If you connect your web cam we'd be able to see your bacon bits frying - but as for smelling them ...I don't think the technology is quite there yet! Although in the sixties Raymond Baxter, on Tomorrow's World, did say that in the future a computer would be available that would let us smell other people's food cooking - apparently that was what people were looking for in a computer - the ability to smell bacon bits frying at a distance...or maybe it was printing labels...something like that!

My old man has this reason for not being able to cook.
For some reason he always confuse the words "marinate" and "masturbate."

Maybe that's why nobody likes his cooking.
