Internet Explorer versus Firefox

I have IE on my computer but I would like to try Firefox.

Do I have to delete IE before I download Firefox? Is it possible to have both IE and Firefox installed on the same computer, or will they be in conflict with each other?

Download and run no problems at all. Then just pick what you want.

You don't have to delete IE if you don't want to - both can run on the same PC and don't interfere. I am running both but use Firefox mainly as it has some features that I prefer to IE.

Firefox will work just fine with or without IE installed, you may have to tell firefox that it is the default browser first time you run it though. It also integrated seamlessly with my Virus Killer without any problems (Zone Alarm) and Spybot.

I made the change to Firefox about six months ago and have never looked back, I love the way it is customizable to your tastes.

you can't delete IE, it's an integral part of windows!

as above have said you can have as many browsers installed as you want and just pick which one to use!

I installed Opera recently and I find it superb, especially the Speed Dials.
I still have Firefox, but I rarely use it.
As ChuckFickens says, you cannot delete IE, but you do not need to.

you can use both the browsers in the same windows.

you can also use both the browsers simultaneously , it will not conflict.

Firefox is much better and more useful .
it has many extra features .

Sorry, I was thinking back to the days of Win95/98 where there was a tool you could use to exclude IE from being present during the setup of windows.
