It's part of the front suspension.

Thanks for that Panic Button. Just interested as been told it will need to be replaced.
It's probably the rubber bushes rather than the wishbone itself that is knackered, but they tend to replace the whole thing.

If they are perished or worn then there can be excessive movement, causing play in the steering and tyre wear.
