We regularly have Sunday morning drinks and nibbles with friends from across the road where the most calorific cake is my goal and I have no trouble there. However, I have run out of ideas for a savoury dish. Quiche, pasta salad, M&S food for entertaining, etc, been there done that. Has anyone got any ideas for something simple but that looks good? It cannot include shellfish and should preferably be a healthy dish to outweight the calories to come. Thanks, Inspiration
Big platter lined with salad leaves scattered with various cold meats - salami, ham etc etc slices of melon, grapes, figs and or strawberries dusted with black pepper and torn up chunks of buffalo mozzarella - drizzle with a good quality olive oil serve with chunks of rustic bread.
There is an 8 am communion service at our church and on Easter Sunday as I will be at the 10 am Eucharist. Plenty of time to rejoice afterwards with friends.
