have you called his mobile?
my son is almost 15 and he says i treat him like a baby lol, it does'nt matter how old they are they are still your children, you are only worried about him cos you love him!!
try not to fret too much tho, he probably just got lucky ;-).
They are bl00dly murder for telling you anything, like if they're coming home, don't worry chick he'll be fine xxx
yes, he might have stayed over. Sooner or later, you are going to have to let go. (Not meaning to be rude, as I've been there myself, but there comes a stage where kids don't have to clock in every night, and at 21 I reckon he's reached it.)

it is very hard to let go,my 34 year old cracks up with me,but no matter how old , they are still my babies
I pity my fifteen year old when he starts dating.

'er indoors will probably insist on going along too.

Mind you, when my ten year old daughter gets interested in boys, there is going to be a five stage interview process with me to get anywhere near her!
21????
Yes you do treat him like a 10 year old (no offence Slinky-and I have 'babies' too) but he is right and you have to let go.You'll always worry,so get used to it.
i know exactly how you feel, yesterday i took the dog for a walk and my son came with me, when we got to the duck pond i got half a loaf out of my handbag to feed them, honestly he went bright red and said OH MY GOD HOW EMBARRSSING!!! he was looking all round to make sure he did'nt know anyone lol, i'm always putting my arm round him and trying to cuddle him i love him so much it is so hard letting them grow up xx
We live in a world where so much bad stuff happens, there are a lot of nasty people about. I can understand your worry.

When he does get in touch, point it out to him that he should at least let you know he's not coming in.
I think also that they often deliberately don't phone just to stamp their independence. They don't understand that you don't mind where they are ,it's just that you want to know they are safe.

tried his mobile,it's switched of,i dont think he wants to talk to me at the moment,he'll come breezing in later and say'whats up'
I used to ask them to text . My phone was switched off so it didn't wake me. But I could check it in morn and feel reassured. I dont think it's being clingy I feel it's only polite to let parents know if you're not going to be in for night.. Stand at door with a rolling pin in your hand and give him a quick crack on the head. That will larn him !

he text me and said he went to a party last night,i left my phone in my jacket pocket,so did'nt get the message til 10 mts. ago spoke to him though he is fine, thanks everyone.
Naomicorlett is spot on.
This thread is lovely. We never let go of them do we?

However, I suddenly realised that my 26 year old son, who is still 'my baby' (but has actually been very independent for many years) is now taking my hand to escort me across busy roads, instead of the other way round - oh the joys of getting older ;o(.
Morning Lofty.....I would trust MY sons to take me across the road, that would be an ideal way of getting rid of me.
Morning Sqad :o). I bet they love you really!!
LOL at Lofty.

My Nan does the same to me - when I visit she says ring me when you get in - we always worry about the ones we love.

Don'f fret everyone, it's her son here and thankfully I am safe. If only she could read her text messages she would have known I wouldn't be home in the morning!!

Not to worry though! And thanks for mentioning getting lucky devil99, she has now been questioning me all day about this and giving me advice on how to put on a condom, very embarassing!!

Anyways, I'm off again for another party but if I don't come home again, atleast I know how to put on a condom thanks to my dear Mother.
Ah, how sweet. Where would you be without us mothers Slinky's son?!!! Hope you enjoyed last night's party and got lucky again.................. ;o)
