I know you can get wireless roomstats ( i have one ) - are wireless central heating programmers available ?

can linoleum be put ontop of tiling

Reason being - cable from garage to the boiler programmer in fathers house is shorting out.
The existing programmer is a simple 24hr with 3 on/off periods and am looking a simple wireless replacement rather than dig up lots if concrete to replace it.
