Need some advice. My kitten is now about 14 weeks old and hubby asked the vet about having her spayed. He suggested we could bring her in now and he'd do it. Is this unusual? Or did hubby mishear? I don't want to bother the vet un necessarily.
I know our other cat was done about 6 months old.
By the way she's been called Frankie - my young son named her Francesca after his "girlfriend" at school but I managed to convince him we should shorten it.
She seems to be doing well and has Sirus, our dog, under control. He'll even let her play with his squeaky wellington boot something he's never let our other cat near.
Normally i believe its 5 1/2 - 6 months. Surely at 14 weeks they are still having their first jabs, not the other!!
Congrats on your new kitten, weve just acquired a male called Uno who is almost 9 weeks old and is climbing my door as we speak!
Frankie is a boy cat name. My name is Frankie and I am a big, mean tom cat.
It is good that Little Frankie is getting 'done' 'coz there are so many little cats in the world. My sister and I have had our visits to the vet too. We were feral kittens when we were born and we were 'saved' by the CPL.
I hope that Little Frankie is training her humans and that you will be good and obedient slaves to your little cat.
be assured little Frankie has the whole household running around after her as she's disabled and walks sideways and stumbles (looks like she's drunk)but vet says she will be ok and not in pain.
.She's come on so much since we got her from her previous owner who wanted to have put to sleep.
I thought she was a bit young to be spayed now but I think I'll probably ring the vet.
