Hmmmm, if 28a is animal then my 24d is wrong - I have UTERO as the letters were U _ _ _ O

animal looks good as it is lamina backwards. What was the clue for 24d?

24d is what's actually said by wise man at university. If it's animal, then I have U _ A _ _ so I am thinking it's U-SAGE, which in turn makes 30a incorrect as I had INK - POT - the clue for that is method of printing in black, conserving potassium (3,3) so INK - POT is not a bad answer per se as I already had I _ K / _ _ _.
