Very hard to speculate but she's in the right place and I'm sure they are doing all they can to look after her.

There will probably be a better idea when they have done some tests and the doctors have examined her.

Let us know how she gets on and hope she is ok x

Its soooo frustrating waiting while they do tests! you start imagining all kinds of things, i start off optimistic then start worrying what will happen to her children! maybe i'm the one who needs brain scan!

She only went in a few hours ago but i'm really worried
Hi,
sorry to hear about your sis, but as Jenna said, she is in the right place and she'll get treatment quickly.

There are lots of things that can cause aggitation and rapid heart rate.

Pain in the legs and arms can be caused by the hypoxia (lack of oxygen going to the muscles) associated with her heart racing. Same for the headache.

It is possible she has a heart condition such as tachycardia, which affects the electrical impulses to the heart.

It might also be 100 other things, MOST of which aren't going to be massively dangerous to her, so try to keep busy and don't worry.

Also, has she started taking any new medication lately? Anything from herbal medication to diet pills, not just prescription medication - sometimes these have very strange effects on the heart and circulation.

Keep us posted!
hypoxia, by the way, means too much oxygen to the muscles - my mistake.

This can cause the pains and aggitation/confusion she may be feeling.

She is 32 and overweight, not on any prescribed drugs, dont think she'd be on anything else.
Well, if she's overweight that might be the origin of her problem but I guess you'll just have to wait for the results.

There's no point saying 'try not to worry' cos I know you obviously are. But there's every chance she'll be perfectly ok, especially at her age. Best of luck x
Best guess,,,,sub-arachnoid haemorrhage.
Bleeding into the brain from a burst aneurysm (Berry Aneurysm)

The could also be many other reasons, but with those symptoms, with that degree of urgency and that age group, then bleeding aneurysm is the best bet.
How is she doing now, any news?

Got sent home late yesterday afternoon, they did an ECG which came back ok, did other tests (not sure what) then decided against doing the brain scan for the moment, they suspect she had a massive panic attack due to the severe headache she was having. Not sure how she is today, when i called last night she was really tired and had slept most of the day.
