Perhaps the term 'academy' takes on a different conotation than here in the U.S. An Academy school here, generally refers to one of the Armed Service Acadamies, such as Army at West Point, New York, Navy at Annapolis, Maryland or Air Force at Colorado Springs, Colorado. There are others though, such as The Coast Guard Academy at New London, Connecticut, that are services related, but smaller.
To determine the best is to ask for a fisticuff, depending on where one graduates. The cadets from the various acadamies have a fierce pride in their specific schools, witness the Army/Navy American football games each fall. Each has its own standard of excellence and are regarded as the best in the world...
