Creature in the garden.

I have a tunnel in a garden border. The opening is slightly larger than a 50p piece. My nephew has been dropping peanuts and raisins down the entrance for some months. They are all being eaten. What could this little creature be ??? I am assuming a mouse/shrew/vole. Should we keep feeding ??.

I had same 50p tunnel nxt to bird feeder. Noticed fresh earth daily as it buried in and out. Week later saw a field mouse dangling from suet feeder (must have run up hedge onto feeder). Nearly had heart attack as thought it was a rat at first! but was too small. I wld leave it unless personally bothering you?? It only appears with small birds about. However if magpie/pigeons around will vanish! and of course there's the neighbours cats plus the odd nocturnal fox!!!
