has anyone else hear of Kipps game - I am sure thats the game where you put things on a tray and then have to remember them

Kims game, named from Rudyard Kipling's book Kim , when Kim plays this game to train his memory because he is going to spy for the British.

Have you played it? Twenty or so items on the tray, two minutes to memorise them, then the tray is removed and brought back minus one item and you have to work out what is missing.
Very popular at little girls' parties in the late '40s! great fun.

but yes played it at the brownies - it is related to a quiz question just but then it got silly
