why does my cursor keep moving back into my typing so that all the words are mixed up?

you are probably brushing the touch pad with your palms.

most touchpad drivers have the option to turn on palm detection which helps, or if you don't use it turn of the tap to click option. (or learn to keep your palms away from the touch pad when typing)
