Installing ram
5 Answers
Does anyone know where the ram slot is on the fujitsu siemens amilo pro v2030?
I`ve googled and found nothing, also downloaded the manual, but no mention of installing more ram.
I`ve never installed ram on a laptop before, only on a desktop pc,
I thought it would be easier on a laptop.
It`s a friends laptop, if it were mine I would be taking it apart to find it, but I`m a bit wary with it belonging to someone else.

If there is no back panel then it is under the keyboard. Read the manual, there may be information on the hard drive, so look at the Start - All Program menu.
If it is in its own compartment in the back it is very easy to replace. If it's under the keyboard it is more fiddly.

try googling your model +ram upgrade - some of the mem sites also have detailed how to sections
the ram panel tends to be in the middle (ish) of the case - network, modem, batt etc are on the outer.
undo the screws and it should unclip with GENTLE force (depends of you have fingernales - if you need a screwdriver - don't swing on it)
if the cover is L shaped they can be a bu@@er to get back on
