He will if found guilty, I think his lawyers will get him off, it is the US they got OJ off!

I know in the GB you have heard a lot more about this than we have in France because whenever I speak to s.one on the phone and I ask what's happening they mention MJ.
But what I have heard there is so much against the people that are accusing him, well, I hope he doesn't. Here the saying seems to be apt 'Money is the root of all evil" (even if it is gramatically incorrect as has been pointed out on another thread - but why gramatically incorrect?).

Why when anyone becomes famous, makes money do people want to put that person down? It's beyond me and I find it very sad.

Even if he does hell be kept by himself away everyone else so sadly no one will be able to give the Nonce the good hiding he deserves.
Artful,

This isn't realted to Jackson particuarly but being famous doesn't mean you can get away with anything either.
I don't think I said that exactly, Wo Wo. Of course people shouldn't be allowed to get away with things if it is illegal/not correct/criminal (take your pick) but I get the impression that media, even the public in general are not happy until they can find or insinuate the 'failing' point in others. It's true MJ is headlines, not the chap who lives down the road from me. You probably don't know him so it won't be of any interest...
Actually I don't think the chap down the road should go to prison either!
He probably will not go to Jail. I am not 100% sure if he is guilty, but it is very abnormal to want to share your bed with a young boy and he is so peculiar for whatever reason he does not see this or is in denial

Artful - I believe the reason this came up is just that the full quote is 'Love of money is the root of all evil'. Nothing wrong with the grammar.

I have no idea if MJ is guilty or not. He certainly seems weird, but that's not a criminal offence. The accusations are deeply disturbing - but his accusers seem deeply unreliable. I haven't followed the case in much detail, but from what I have read, if I was on the jury I think I'd be in so much doubt I'd acquit him. Fortunately for everyone, I'm not.

i agree with loosehead, Jacko is as guilty as sin but if OJ can get off with Murder.............I really hope he doesn't tho.
He'll get off, I don't know if he's guilty, but celebrity rules in the USA.

I think he'll only get done for plying children with alcohol, and I doubt if that carries a jail sentence even in the USA.

Hello, I am new to this site, but have to say it is really interesting and informative. So if I can put my two pence  worth in for "Artful"... money is not really the root of all  evil, The original quote was " The love of money is the root of all evil" now isn't that the truth ??????
I'm sure yesterday on the Channel 4 News it mentioned that if he is found guilty on the charge of giving the children alcohol. Then he could find himself in jail for a year.
Thanks jno and oldsoldier for the full expression about money, but given it's "love of money is..." I would say it is even more apt for those taking MJ to court.
