well i dont think we get redundancy pay =( thats probably why most organisations employ temp staff) they would save money on pensions, benefits etc.

its the same sort i have been reading from various websites. they say you get one week pay for each year you have worked there. But it dosnt mention anything about agency staff.

im not even on a Fixed contract either.

i think i need to contact my recruitment agency about this, although i got SSP of them when i was off for couple of months....due to sickness

didn't realise you were being made redundant, Dot, I'm very sorry to hear it. I retired early last year and am loving every second of it, but I have a decent pension. I know some people feel a bit disoriented without work to base their lives around but I haven't found this. Good luck however it turns out.

There are lots of places I'd got to including Egypt for the pyramids. I suppose it would be anywhere historical really. I love anything ancient and historical.

I'm confident I have found a new job in another High Street Retailer as a Supervisor on womenswear, not confirmed yet but it looks good, though i really would have liked to have had a bit of a break, still, I would hate to be stuck at home doing nothing, that would do my head in!
