I am planning to visit National Archives at Kew and wondered if anyone can advise where to park if the car park there is full.

There is parking on Kew Road outside Kew Gardens (not sure about cost) or you may be able to park in the Retail Park next door to the archives. You may just be able to park nearby inthe residentail area depending on parking restrictions.

Or park in Richmond and get the bus (R68, terminates at the archives)

Reckon you should be able to get into the archives car park though, if you go there and it is full, they'll probably be able to suggest an alternative.

The last time I went to Kew to the Archives I had to ask for directions and the man I asked was him off the tele, he was walking through Kew Village, Ray Brooks it was.
If it is your first visit, take some form of ID as you will have to register for a reading ticket. If I remember correctly, the car park is quite large so you shouldn't have a parking problem. Week days are quieter than week ends.
