could any one tell me,if a female is arrested does there have to be a female arresting officer in the police car with her .also does there have to be two police officers in the car

If a policeman was on his own in a patrol car and say for example he came across a female murderer (murderess?) it would be ludicrous if he couldn't arrest her if he was on his own.
Mind you, different police forces may have their own rules on the subject.

What would she rather he had done? She would have moaned if he had kept her hanging about waiting for a car and another police offier to show up (impossible in some rural areas) or actally walked her to the police station which we would have done back in the sixties but, apparantly too tough for people nowadays. Can't be seen in handcuffs, infringes human rights apparently. Far better not to give a police officer grounds to arrest you in the first place I would have thought but, hey, what do I know having got to 59 without ever having had a fight, been arrested or convicted of anything. Perhaps my not drinking may have some bearing on that!!l
