I bought a brand new Dell computer and was putting some photographs onto it. There were some scenery pictures already there which I assumed were part of that section.

However, there were also some family pictures of someone else's family as well.

I contacted Dell as I suspected they had sold me a "used" second hand computer. However, they assured me that these were standard pictures (which I don't believe). Has anyone any experience of this type of thing?

its pretty typical to have sample pictures that include scenery and family shots when you first open up your "my pictures" folder... don't worry about it - i think i have mine still somewhere, pics of kids with pumpkins or something like that was on mine
I agree wth Iggy on this,
When I bought my most recent PC (from PC World) it was shrink wrapped and obviously brand new.
However,as Iggy says, all PC's come with sets of pictures(as did mine),which enable you (if you want) "play" about with them and test out the PC's proceedures.
I am quite sure that this is what you have found on yours.
