Dogs are cats which do you think is best?

I am a past cat-lover, that is slowly but surely turning into a dog-lover...

They are each great in their own way...and it depends on the dog/cat owner and circumstances, as to which would be best...

I love animals.  Have always had cats.  Have two beautiful cats at the moment.  I LOVE CATS.

i would have to say cats like all the way! yeh i LOVE cats there like my fave animal of all time,i'm totally obsessed with them!!! i'v got 4 cats at the moment i need more i say more! hmm...i'm to obsessed lol but anywayz yeh i think cats r better! but i guess dogz r ok.. ish in there own way...i'm not a big dog person even though i'v got 1..everyday having him just makes me remember why i don't like dogz more and more... but hey thats me..there's heaps of dog lovers out there, and u little doggie lovers just keep doing wat u do best!

I have had both cats and dogs, at the moment I have five dogs but that's because of various events happening in my life ie. mum dying so I took her little dog on.

Having said that, dogs are much more demanding than cats and do require an awful lot of patience and understanding, long walks despite the weather conditions but they do give more in return. I would also love a cat but because of the busy main road right outside my home I couldn't even consider it unfortunately and many's the occasion when I've seen someones pet dead at the side of the road.

If you love the animals they give you love back. What a wonderful arrangement. (I think food enters the equation as well!)

I grew up with dogs, so perversely always hankered after a cat. I got my wish eventually and have loved them ever since. Much later I had a collie pup for a while but it died under the wheels of a tractor. Very sad. I now only have a cat. Purrrrr!
