I have a rover 200 1.4si 16v, the problem i have is tht whenever i push my foot down past anymore than slightly, the revs go right up and i accelerate gradually, its like having the bite point and riding the clutch but without even havin my foot on the clutch!! This is getting gradually worse and is becoming more annoying!! There is a noise also when i have the clutch down, like a faint scraping/ rubbing noise, this will probobly warrant a new clutch plate, is there a chance their related?? I hope so lol be grateful for any help at all, thankyou
