They are two different cases altogether, maxine Carr was as wrong about what she did as anyone could be and was not without blame for being deluded enough to think he was innocent, but Andrews actually did the murder, how can she be due for release? Who has allowed her release and how early is it?

It's because of the lynch mobs, etc.

Once these people have done their time, they become regular citizens again & are entitled to the same protection.

But if the public bay for their blood, they must be protected.

If the public left them totally alone, not a dollar would need to be spent.

She was sentenced to life in July 97, and a 14 year term was recommended.
She may be released in 2011 but nothing is confirmed.

It's disgraceful that she's being released and also that she's been allowed to have cosmetic surgery.

If you're not going to incarcerate them forever, if you're not going to hang them, then you have to let them out.
The law of the land states that they have the right to live peacefully without causing harm or alarm to others.
I agree that life should mean life, but, simple question, watch "The Shawshank Redemption" be honest are you not pleased that the character "Red" gets released?
Red was a killer.
