My OH has just come in from work and said to me ''someone told me today that if I wanted to know what you will look like in 30 years I should look at your mother''. He then added ''I really hope that won't become true in your case as you are a pleasure to look at now''. He was being serious.
After smacking him one I started thinking, is this possibly true, as the other day I actually thought to myself that I was looking a little more like my Mum.
So my question is to the AB men. Is your wife morphing in to your mother-in-law as the years go by, and is it a good or a bad thing?!!
My question to the AB women, does this also happen the other way? I wouldn't mind as my OH's Dad is still quite a handsome chap!!
My OH was told this before we got married - if you want to see how your wife will turn out in years to come just look at her mother, so he did... decided that my mum was a hard working, slim and atractive woman.
That'll teach him for listening to old wives tales!
I can't be too bad though as we've been married almost 43 years ;-)
If my wife is morphing into her mother, I can't see it. Of course if it does happen the chances are I'll never see it anyway, given that I'm 10 years older than her :-)
Still, when I look at her I see her as she is now and as she has been ever since I met her - a rather pretty lady.
Im told I look very much like my mum, she was a very attractive woman so I take that as a compliment. I've started to copy her mannerisms as well unintentionally. My OH is the image of his dad.
A chap I had a long term thing with LOVED my mother (we worked in the same place for years). Reckoned she was a bit of a stunner (and yes, she ain't bad!). Although most people think I look more like my father - and he is a killer on the looks front!!!!
