Getting out of work.....

Hi all

I have a little dilemma. I have an interview next Thursday at 2pm, when I am supposed to be at work. I need to find an excuse to get out of work so need your help! I actually have a doctors appointment the morning before so can't use that excuse, I can't take any holidY next week and can't risk asking incase it's a no and I was I'll
for the day last week (genuinely!).

Anyone any ideas?

get someone to ring up while you are at work saying there is some sort of emergency and that you have to go home !

I will have this situation soon too as I'm sending off as many job apps as I can.
I can work a bit flexible in my job though so can hopefully blag it to go to interviews and then work a bit later or something.
I wouldn't tell anyone at work you are job hunting either as I know from experience people will get you into trouble if they can.

Get a colleague to ring you from the other side of the office, just ask them to ring your extension and let them put the phone down and then proceed to have an imaginary conversation!

And when the new company asks your boss for references, he will ask the new company when you had your interview, and both will see you as a liar. Not the best of starts.

Hiya, if work no you have a docs appt the day b4, when you go back into work just say that you have to go back the docs or you need to have further tests. Gud luck
