Ok, really desperate for some help! I live in the middle of nowhere, have about 30 to spend at most, don't know much about my dad (we were never overly close), but he bought me a car for my birthday and I really wanna get him something good! I want something different to the usual CD/bath stuff/socks....lol any help would be appreciated!
a good bottle of whisky...a voucher for clothes..a ticket to a sport event or a concert..take him out for a meal..throw a small surprise party you can buy cheap drink and make nibbles or a bbq...if he is interested in gardening their are lots of gardening shows coming up get him a ticket..if he has a garden buy him a tree..hope these are of use..
Find out what his favourite meal is and make it for him for lunch, followed by a day out doing something you know he enjoys. It may help you both bond. And it will be more meaningful.
does he have a favourite footy team? I got my dad a great print off ebay of when liverpool won the cup back in the 80s. He keeps it by his desk. Now I can update him with their latest win for fathers day.
Okay, this might sound dumb, but the best present I ever gave my dad was a cross stitch picture of the Red Arrows that I made for him. 10 years on, and he still has it above his desk and talks about it. If you aren't 'arty', how about finding a really nice photo of the two of you, and having it blown up and framed? Something personal always seems more popular.
