There was an article in one of the tabloid newspapers quite recently about a cat that stole all the neighbours' socks and took them home. The owner was very embarrassed and tried to return the items but could't identify the owners. I have also heard of a dog that stole shoes, but only one at a time. So it may not be a human thief at all.

probably was a tourist MWB maybe someones dog or cat out for a midnight walk............

at least we only get people being beaten up on our streets at night...
