Has anyone downloaded the browser from Google called 'Google Chrome' . This is going to be in direct competition with Internet Explorer. Currently it is free to use.

Having just downloaded and installed it, the speed of accessing pages has gone up by about 300%.

Are there any likely problems?

I'm using it now. It's much faster, as you say, and so far no problems.

And same as you rov, accessing pages has increased heaps!

Chrome passes the acid3 web standards compliancy test with flying colours. This means it is optimised to work seemlessly with properly designed websites (not AB).

Put the url

http://acid3.acidtests.org/

into the Chrome browser and compare the score with IE. That is why it is better.

I've just found a glitch.

I can't copy & paste a you tube link into AB.

But although that's a bit of a pain in the proverbial, the speed of google chrome far outweighs that!

It's a decent web browser.

I'm sticking with Firefox for now, because I depend on some of the add-ons. Also, Chrome isn't too great on Mac or Linux right now.
