Grunty,
A very interesting link, which reminds me of this rather morbid ( but true) tale.
When the great Author & Poet Thomas Hardy died, the Government wanted him buried in Westminster Abbey, but his family wished to follow Hardy's wishes and bury him in Dorset. They compromised, and his heart was removed for burial in the Abbey. It was placed by the local Doctor, who removed it,in a biscuit tin(until a suitable urn could be found).Because of all the duties involved in the Dorset funeral, the heart was placed (in its tin) on a kitchen shelf.Unfortunately Hardy's cat had been ignored in all these preparations, and when they came to place the heart in the Urn that was preapared,NO HEART!
Yes,you guessed it,the poor old cat was hungry, got at the tin,and ate the heart!
The local Doctor, and Hardy's relations decided to say nothing of the incident(very wise!)
So an urn (with Lord knows what in it) was buried with great ceremony in the Abbey(and is still there!)
This tale only emerged recently, when the local Doctors diaries were opened for publication,by his descendants.
I think the moral is"Remember to feed the Cat!"
