I am looking to get a bearded collie but would love to rescue one. has anyone got any ideas???????/
I would travel to get - the only dogs on the rspca and dog rescue sites seem to be unsuitable for my family .

Also you could try ringing some breeders - they often take back dogs of their own breeding and may have some available.

I am sure breed rescue will be able to help you. I have just rehomed two young Lancashire Heelers for our club rescue, they were seven months old and I collected them from a home in Cumbria and after assessing them they have now gone together to a home in Devon. The lady has written to me today saying how well they have settled and how wonderful they are. Not all rescue dogs settle so quickly but it is very rewarding when you get the right people for the right dogs
