Coronation SAtreet

Does anyone else think that Coronation Street is a load of rubbish nowadays? It used to be funny, but the funny characters are all made to look like weirdos, it used to be such a laugh! I switched off last night when David stole Joe's pills, I was amused to read that Corrie is going to give space to drug problems - what about murder problems? What about evil Tony getting his come-uppance, and Maria, who was so good at being suspicious, now nearly falling into his arms. What are the producers thinking of, letting us all see that crime does pay - are they setting good examples? Don't even think about Fizz...
I know it's not real. but they insult our intelligence.

It's pathetic. One minute he was shouting at Gail and storming out, and half an hour later, all nice as pie and apologising. It wouldn't be like that. Until he got his 'fix' he would be angry with everyone.
i think the main problem is that they need to drag any "juicy" storylines out for as long as possible, probably to build up to a christmas special. maybe tony and maria will get married on christmas day - reception on the rovers as per, and then he wil be found out. they do repeat the same storys year on year just change the characters around but i cant say i have paid tnhat much attention to the "funnies" or the longwinded storylines. perhaps we are too used to all-in wrap-up episodes from american sit coms where there is a major issue, it gets found out, everyone argues, they all make up and then hug and we all learn a moral lesson. boring isnit.
I love corrie, but they have always had the problem of drawing a storyline out. I remember when Deirdre was going out with that "pilot", the con man, that story dragged on for months and months.
They're going to lose half their audience if they're not careful, because people are getting fed up with it. I have taken to recording it, so I can whiz through the rubbish, drawn-out story lines.

I agree. Unless Blanche,Graeme or Norris are in it there is nothing to enjoy at the moment.Hate the Kevin Molly affair, the Fizz, John,Chesney saga,Devs ghastly Uncle,Rosie and her investment in the factory and her horrid pouty supposed to be sexy mouth.oh for the good old days of Ena Sharples and Minnie Caldwell gossipping in the snug.LOLNuff said too about the David, Joe story. I too now record it so that I can cut out the rubbish and Adverts. Not much left some evenings.
Yes, I know, Philtaz, but it was funny rubbish!!!
Anyway, thanks, you others, glad to know I'm not the only one......... another thing that gets my goat is when one of the characters returns after a short absence, as brown as a conker and no one, NOT ONE person remarks on it!! Also, once, the affected and hated Gail turned up wearing a most beautiful camel coat, and no one remarked on it. People would in the real world. It was so beautiful I felt like hanging round charity shops up there in case it got given to one, not that I live anywhere near it... Wonder where she got it from.... It was much too good for her!
