thanks sqad
Don't suppose you can tell me what they are can you,?
PeeBee....LOL...probably wrong answer.
Orthodontists know a lot, eh sqad!

:)
Of course it's the wrong answer - you were bluffing weren't you, little monkey.

A wankell has at least 8 moving parts, but only 2 are essential.
They are the 3 sides of the rotor and e shaft.
salla....I thought that the WANKell bit would bring you to the surface.

Good morning my love.
Just two moving parts.

Eee, shaft. :-)

See sir.prizes answer which concurs with mine. Only 2 essential parts....
sorry SQAD,
if he's refering to the Mazda RX thingy,
theres only one moving part, and that is the rotor itself,
Damn good engine,
Completely unserviceable by the DIY man though.

It's a WANKEL rather than a WANKELL
logic...you are correct, but that one moving part has 3 edges.

... that explains it then.
Now the rotor is the fluffy thing, & the crankcase is kitten. salla
Yes leggy, the engine is Much older,
I think wartburg or saab used it at some point,
I wasn't aware that norton had, although SUZUKI ,I think it was made a prototype,
But i dont think it went into production as it was completely uncontrollable,
as for moving parts ie bearings, you could split hairs forever, and say what about the spark, that jumps from one part of the plug tip to another,And the actuall combustion itself which occurs in excess of 16,000 times per minute.
