i would class it as a passenger vehicle, vans usually denote a commercial vehicle which often attracts a higher premium ( even if only used privately )

Be very careful. Whatever you enter might not be valid. The vast majority of insurers won't touch motorhomes. My friend had hers insured as a car but was later told, by her insurer, that she shouldn't have been given insurance and that any claim would probably not have been paid because the vehicle was incorrectly described.

My friend found great difficulty in getting insurance (especially because she's over 70). You need to seek out specialist companies. Confused.com might not allow you to compare relevant quotes but that pesky meerkat has some suggestions for you:
