I have gone "grow your own" mad this year and bought so many seeds etc and have just discovered some wild rocket seeds in my cupboard. These I've now sown and within 2 days they blew the lid off - it was quite a surprise to me. However, can these be planted in the garden seeing that it is now August ('09) or is it best to now transplant them into pots - making it easier to take them inside in case of sudden frost? The planting instructions were very vague and I'm a novice, which really does not help.
You can sow some rocket outside now and in fact I have grown it outside all through the winter in a long trough in a sheltered position up against our house wall. It's often quite hardy and in this position has even survived through frosts.
