Anyone know of any building society/ banks that still let you withdraw up to 500 a day from a cash machine rather than the 300 that they all seem to have reduced it to?

*If* your card issuer limits you to 300 per day then it won't matter which cash machine you use.
If not, then someone more helpful than I might point you to an ATM.
My NatWest advantage gold accounts let me take out 500 from a cash point (aswell as a cheque guarantee limit of 250).

However, I know that this is not automatic - I have been a customer of theirs for many years.
nationwide went from 500 down to 300 about 3 months or so ago so i know what u mean

Have two accounts, that way you can have 600. Also, its better, just in case one card has a problem.

Woolwich Open Plan will let you withdraw 400 per day if that's any help.

or better still....at 11:55pm go to ur cash machine draw out what it lets u draw out and then 5 minutes later u can draw out the rest. i had to get 2000 all in 1 go once, i went to 3 diffrent nationwide's and went inside and asked for the maximum, it was like gettin blood out of a stone, they DO NOT like givin over the cash

gingerflaps, if you did this without notifying them then I'd say there was a whiff of suspicion when you went in.
Why not just phone them in advance and say "I'm paying a builder, can I collect a lump sum of 2000 next Tuesday? Ta love".
They don't like giving cash if it seems suspicious.
FirstDirect have an atm withdrawal limit of 500 per card per day.  If you have a joint account it will let both parties withdraw upto 500 each per day.
