Had a POP3 a/c with Outlook Express for many years. Easy to use, very reliable and postbox never, never overfull where one has to start deleting!
My husband has a really rubbishy one, a real pain in the neck.
Good Luck.
As far as I remember, I set up my OLE account direct with Microsoft. Of course the ISP has an involvement. I understood from stephie that she asked advice on setting up an e.mail account. The name of the ISP in the e.mail address is obvious. I didn't think she needed to be told of the common theme in the address.
Agreed Outlook is more sophisticated and I did once update to it, but I decided to return to OLE 5 which I like better because it's simpler and easier to use. Later is not always better. Surely POP and smtp only appear when looking up account details, it does with mine anyway. Incidentally, I chose my own pass word.
Gosh, I though I knew everything I needed to know about e.mail accounts!!! I bow to your superior knowledge buttons. I mean that in a nice way.
