Quick question on behalf of a friend.

Her daughter (about 2 yrs old) has had constipation for about 3 or 4 days.
I suggested she give her daughter something like Syrup of Figs but not sure if that is suitable for a toddler??

Can any mums or dads out there offer any other solutions / remedies.

I think the simplest start would be prune juice or orange juice.. but she shouldn't let this carry on too long as it can become a psychological problem for the child.. then all hell will break lose!
Try giving her sweetcorn, baked beans, peas, maybe fig rolls, personally I'd ask my health visitor, pharmacist or doctor if it went on much longer, assuming that something has happened to make her not want to go to the toilet.

this is pretty gross, 20SC, but my friend encouraged her son to poo in the bath when he was constipated. apparently it was a lot less painful for him.

but.. ewwww!
My son suffered really bad. You can get some cream from the doctor that numbs the bum....
