if a couple from the uk are engaged and live in the usa and get married, then the guy gets a green card through his job, the wife will then get one automatically i hear. if however, the couple get divorced, can the ex wife still remain in the usa? is there a period of time to be married before divorcing to keep the green card?
also if a uk woman has a baby in the usa, does this automatically give her residency because that child will have u.s citizenship?

They challenged this as their children had been born or brought up in the US and were attending schools there. I think that these women were given a special right to stay.
