Cheer me up
Hello everyone. Don't want to add another "my life is worthless" type message, but can't help it.
Been chasing a girl who I know through work..but she has ignored my invitation for a drink. Another girl I chased but didn't want me either now has a boyfriend and is very happy. On top of this, my company is making cutbacks, which will almost certainly mean job losses.. Would like to go on holiday in the summer, but my friends are all happily attached, so have no-one to go with. It seems when one thing hits you, they all do! Any crumbs of comfort would be appreciated..

The fact that these girls didn't want to start a relationship with you doesn't mean you still can't be friends with them. I think you should value the friendship side of the relationship and be happy that this girl is happy with her new boyfriend not jealouse or bitter. If it's meant to be then it will be. You say that your company is making cutbacks, if this does mean you will be out of a job will you be that upset? Is your job just a job or is it a life long dream? Are you feeling forfilled in your job? If not then maybe this is your chance to get out there and do what you really want to do. I know its hard but try and be positive about things.
Oh Tock389... Life's like that, isn't it? When it's good, it's brilliant, and when it's bad, it's ALL sh*te.
We've all been there and it's pretty bloody miserable while you're in it, isn't it? I have no words of wisdom... I'm an Essex girl (nuff said?!)... But you should know that I, and I'm sure many other ABers, would send a gorgeous girly to you in an envelope if we could :0)
The only thing that makes me feel better when the chips are down is to absolutely bloody wallow in it. Lots of chocolate, wine, mashed potato, sad films, happy films, rubbish films, too many hours playing The Sims... that sort of thing.
It's poxy sometimes but it DOES get better. It usually gets worse again... but then better. And then worse... You get my drift...? You won't always feel like this and in a years' time, you won't even have remembered you felt like this.
Take care :0)

If you're a bit apprehensive, Tock, you could just go for a week. Then if you like it you could go for longer later. What do you think?
