Just heard on the news that all Manchester United fans are to be searched for beach balls before their clash with Liverpool on Sunday
The Anfield road shop has sold out of them.

I find this very strange when it was a Liverpool fan who threw it on to the pitch at there last match ?

The weight of a match ball these days, they may as well play the match with a beach ball.
Shouldn't they be searching for the pr@t that threw it in the first place?? Oh well, it is his fault Liverpool lost that game so I'm sure people have been giving him a tough time for it!

They know who it was, rival fans have set up facebook sites in his honour. There is noway that goal should stand. It is a farce.
Completely agree. The game should have been stopped as soon as the beach ball was spotted for it to be removed. I can't believe the goal was allowed! Like you said, it is a total farce!
Itchy, I think that ball was going in the net, whether it hit that beach ball or not.
Lads.......neither the referee or the assistant referees saw the beach ball deflect the shot.......hence...goal stands...........sorry.
Who cares it was days ago
Hi itchyMoti and all

Lads??!!
tonyav - I think from watching the replay (and it is just my opinion), the ball would have been saved as it was travelling straight at the goalie and he looked ready for it. The deflection from the beach ball altered it's path.
I thought there was a rule or law somewhere that stated something about goals caused by or deflected off foreign objects are to be disallowed.
Sqad - What the bl00dy hell were they looking at then?? Lol!
4getmenot - Clearly we care as we are discussing it. If you are not bothered, then why are you looking and replying to this thread?
