Laithwaites is excellent. You have to buy a case of 12, but that's easily drunk! I've had some great deals from them and their wine is always very good!! K xx

This is a tough one. I spent ages this week trying to figure out which was the best deal. Like you, I have never bought wine online and have no desire to buy pricey wine. Virgin Wine give you �20 off your first order if its �59.88 or more so you can get a good 12 bottle case for around �45 including the postage.
Sainsburys are also doing a great deal where they give you 3 free bottles of rioja plus a wine stopper. In the end I went for the sainsburys deal but im sure that there are many good ones around.

Keep an eye on the Tesco wine club site. They have some amazing offers from time to time. Also their instore wine events are very good. I reckon I saved about 40% on the list price the last time they had a promotion. Sainsbury's sometimes have special events - and the last time they even discounted wines that were already discounted. So some bottles originally priced at �7.99 were working out at less than half price. Good luck and Happy Christmas.

If you are looking for a simple shop with a good range then try Capital Drinks, they are a straight forward online retailer. Half their products are in case form the other half i by the bottle and all are boutique wines... so I think you can find something here without having to buy lots of wine.
