Went there first on a works team building day, enjoyed it so much suggested husband get his company to take us on social club outing which we did, then took 8 year old for birthday day out with 16 family members , and a couple of months ago went just the four of us.
What i like is its not too big, but there are some good rides, and there is a nice sized zoo too. We found it was nice to have a walk around and go on some rides, stop for lunch and walk round zoo, which calms kids back down a bit, have a huge ice cream in a waffle cone on the way out of the zoo, and then its time for last rides and home.
Highly recommended. Have gone with kids aged from 6 to 16 and all have enjoyed.
Queues were long this summer (july) tho... but should be shorter this time of year, i expect...
Have a great day..

Our family live near Drayton Manor and go their 2 or 3 times a year.
It does describe itself as a "family theme park" (as opposed to say Alton Towers which goes for the white knuckle rides).
There are some large rides (Shockwave, Storm Force 10 etc), but also rides for families, children etc.
As has been said, there is also a zoo and farm. Also Thomas Land (for young kids).
It is more compact than Alton Towers (rider nearer to each other) so we prefer it to Alton Towers. If you go to Alton Towers you spend most of the day walking betwen all the rides (or queueing).
Overall it is a good park with plenty to do to keep you amused for the day, and something for all ages.
