DixieGal, you say flobadob seems to think too deeply on such matters. How deeply is too deeply? Some people make the study of religion their life's work.
Please don’t misunderstand me. I posted here, not to pick at you, but to explain that, in my opinion, it is imperative we question religious doctrine. If everyone took the advice you've given flobadob, then religion would never be held up to scrutiny, and answers would never be found.
However, since you say you are well aware of the 'holes' that can be dug into religious doctrines and beliefs, I can only assume that your knowledge comes either from your own investigations, or from someone else who was interested enough to ask questions - and yet you object to flobadob asking questions. That, to me, seems rather contradictory.
Incidentally, I didn't give flobadob a direct answer to this question simply because I don't believe that heaven exists.
